Knowledge structure
I propose to get rid of the "General" knowledge subfields as much as possible, especially if that is the only subfield we are using. My suggestions are below:
- generally rename to "Basics"/"Grundlagen"
- Wireless Transmission - General (Q871) "wireless transmission - general": split into
- "Basics"
- "Practice"
- General/Fundamentals (Q992) rename to "Concepts and Terminology"/"Grundbegriffe"
- Electricity (Q856) "Electricity - general": split into
- "Fundamentals"/"Grundlagen" with Magnetism, Insulators, Connecting voltage sources and resistors (maybe rename to "fundamental circuits"), DC, Ohm, Pouillet
- "Electrical power"/"Elektrische Leistung"
- "Alternating current"/"Wechselspannungssysteme"
- "Safety"/"Sicherheit" with Electrical risks, Protection against electrical risks
- "Practice"/"Praxis" with Cables and Connections, Disitribution Equipment and Methods, ...
- ...
- Health And Safety - Basics (Q874) "Health and safety/Basics": split into (at least) something like this:
- Theory
- First aid
- Electrical danger
- Mechanical danger
- Fire danger
- Ergonomics
- Personal protective equipment
Better yet, use some existing structure from ETTE.
