Circus arts teachers instruct students in a recreational context in the various circus techniques and acts such as trapeze acts, juggling, mime, acrobatics, hooping, tightrope walking, object manipulation, unicycling tricks, etc. They provide students with a notion of circus history and repertoire, but mainly focus on a practice-based approach in their courses, in which they assist students in experimenting with and mastering different circus techniques, styles and acts and encourage them to develop their own style. They cast, direct and produce circus performances, and coordinate the technical production and possible set, props and costume usage on stage. (English)

Leerkrachten van circuskunsten geven de studenten les in een recreatieve context in de verschillende circustechnieken en daden als petrapeuze handelingen, jongsten, me, acrobatiek, opoffering, nauwgezetter lopen, het manipuleren van voorwerpen, het unicellen van de trikes, enz. Zij leggen studenten een concept van circusgeschiedenis en repertoire aan, maar zijn vooral gericht op een op de praktijk gebaseerde benadering in hun cursussen, waarbij zij studenten helpen bij het experimenteren met en het leren kennen van verschillende circustechnieken, -stijlen en -daden, en hen aanmoedigen hun eigen stijl te ontwikkelen. Zij brengen rechtstreekse circusvoorstellingen uit en produceren, en coördineren de technische productie en de mogelijke set, de stutten en het gebruik ervan in de fase. (Dutch)
