DONE attitude item.Q1057

Chris

knowledge fields and subfields use the same property as working fields, we need to split this to get the proper inverse property

Larry

DONE PLease take a look at this competence: I think it is not valide. https://competencebase.eu/wiki/Item:Q1057

Take a look as this TEBEVAT item (Monitor Mixing) on EQF 5? https://competencebase.eu/wiki/Item:Q288

Please remove from our CC the NC.

Questions for all

  • Item:Q763 was copied from ESCO. I changed it to Level 5 (was 3), copied the DE translation from ESCO, and amended the description to include "and support the artistic process by technical means or, if desired, creatively", to differentiate from the original level 3 competence. Ok?
  • Item:Q790: added "and emotion-driven behaviour", because that is often key for understanding conflict situtations. Ok?
  • Item:Q671: I don't get the point of this competence. It would be useful if we understand it as "make sure it's there", but ESCO uses it in a very indefinite manner - if we use it likewise, we have it covered by numerous other competences. Remove from profile?
  • Item:Q826: If we don't make it sound-specific, take it out and refer to the generic ESCO one instead?
  • Item:Q825: upgraded to level 5 and made specific to production intercom systems. Ok?

questions/issues for Chris and/or Jan

Dear Chris and Jan, please consider these points and delete any if you were able to solve them, or comment inline if I'm misunderstanding/misusing something. Thanks! - Jörn (talk) 19:22, 19 July 2024 (UTC)

  • upload: needs to be set up:
 Action failed
Could not open lock file for "mwstore://local-backend/local-public/4/42/PCM.svg". Make sure your upload directory is configured correctly and your web server has permission to write to that directory. See https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Manual:$wgUploadDirectory for more information.
  • upload: possibly related, embedded file upload in the wiki editor fails with
 Something went wrong
Could not store upload in the stash (UploadStashFileException): "Could not create directory "mwstore://local-backend/local-temp/c/c1".".
  • upload: please add .wav, .txt (for source code), and .mov to the list of allowed file suffixes in Special:Upload
  • upload: please change the maximum file size for uploads to at least 25 MB to enable short video clips and uncompressed audio to be uploaded.
  • licensing: change default site licensing to remove NC and only use CC-BY-SA 4.0, and remove "NC" from all existing license properties belonging to owner "ESSENCE" (as per ESSENCE steeering group decision)
  • licensing: we need the CC-BY-SA 4.0 license to also show up in the default contributor license agreement popup that shows up when adding individual properties or qualifiers.
(By clicking "save", you agree to the terms of use, and you irrevocably agree to release your contribution under the [ ].
I accept these terms for my future edits. Do not show this message again.)
  • licensing: provide all CC licenses in upload form dropdown, see https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Image_administration#Licensing
  • data hygiene: can we remove hardcoded owner string in competence label, and display "owner" qualifier in the headline instead? (see for example the headline at Item:Q737)
  • admin: please give me the necessary rights to move and delete wiki pages under the "ESSENCE" prefix.
  • display/UX: competences list in profile needs to be ordered by
    • TeBeVAT "place in process" and
    • index number (last two-digit group)
  • display: please remove the Segoe and Helvetica variants from the @media screen {...} CSS (and other occurrences I might have missed). Those fonts are not freely redistributable, which is problematic in the context of the licensing restrictions the EU imposes on us, and font rendering gets screwed up in some browsers (notably Firefox on Linux)
