In order to understand the limits of the speaker systems we use, and to appreciate the choices and trade-offs made by manufacturers, some fundamental knowledge on loudspeaker design approaches is helpful. It allows us to appreciate the potential and constraints of a given system, particularly if we have to use it at the limit of its design parameters or for non-standard usecases. (English)
